The Giza complex lies on the edge of Greater Cairo, roughly 20 km southwest of central Cairo, and contains the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, built during Egypt’s Fourth Dynasty around 2580–2510 BCE. Minimum participation age is 3 years because of the walking distances and exposure on the Giza Plateau. Child fares are available on request for children under 12 when sharing a vehicle with paying adults. Infants under 2 travel free if they do not occupy a separate seat; otherwise child fare applies. Strollers are usable inside the Egyptian Museum but are not practical on the Giza Plateau because of sand and uneven ground, so parents should expect to carry young children short distances. Please tell us the ages and needs of children when you book so we can advise on pacing and restaurant seating.
