Direct from Manchester – Red Sea only
Manchester's direct Egypt services are exclusively to the Red Sea: Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh and Marsa Alam, with TUI, Jet2 and easyJet running the routes. Schedules thicken between October and April when the UK weather is worst and Egyptian Red Sea temperatures are at their most pleasant (25–30°C, sea around 22–25°C). Summer schedules thin to TUI charter only.
There is no direct Manchester to Cairo, Luxor or Aswan service. For those, you connect through Istanbul, Amsterdam, Frankfurt or Munich.
Best one-stop to Cairo from Manchester
Turkish Airlines via Istanbul is usually cheapest and gives the best frequency. KLM via Schiphol has the shortest minimum connection time (35 minutes) but the highest risk if your inbound is delayed. Lufthansa via Frankfurt or Munich is the most reliable for Star Alliance status passengers wanting lounge access.
