A first look
At first light, Giza’s limestone takes on a pale gold colour while the city beyond the plateau is still finding its rhythm. From the viewing area, Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure stand across the desert floor, with the Great Sphinx lower down the slope. Our Egyptologist puts the monuments into context, then helps you linger over the Egyptian Museum’s galleries rather than racing through them.
Further south, life unfolds at river level. From the deck, palms, fields and desert margins drift past between visits to ancient temples, while Luxor’s sun-warmed stone gives way to Aswan’s quieter granite landscapes. We arrange the hotel stays, cabin, transfers and sightseeing, with our local team on hand throughout.

In Cairo and Giza, the itinerary visits the Giza Plateau, where the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure stand on the western edge of modern Cairo, approximately 13 km from central Cairo depending on the route. The Great Sphinx lies on the same plateau. The program also includes the Grand Egyptian Museum, subject to the galleries and visitor areas open on the travel date. Pyramid interior tickets are not included unless specifically requested.
The cruise portion travels south from Luxor to Aswan. Luxor’s East Bank includes Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, while the West Bank includes the Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple at Deir el-Bahari. The itinerary then visits the Ptolemaic Temple of Horus at Edfu and the dual sanctuary of Sobek and Horus at Kom Ombo before reaching Aswan.
In Aswan, sightseeing includes Philae Temple on Agilkia Island, the Aswan High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. Premium tombs such as Tutankhamun or Seti I are excluded unless requested.
