How to choose
Three pillars decide the shape of a solo Egypt holiday. The single supplement is the question we hear most.
No-supplement dahabiya departures are our best-value solo option – we match you to a 6-cabin dahabiya cabin where the supplement is waived (May–June, September–October, late November, February to mid-March). On other dates the supplement runs 20–40% on top of the per-person price; we always disclose the figure upfront in the quote and offer the next no-supplement date as an alternative.
Fully private throughout – your own Egyptologist with you at every temple, every transfer, every meal you'd like. Group + private hybrid – your own guide on the temple days, joining a small-group Nile cruise (6 to 8 other guests) for the social cruise segment. The second is what most of our solo female clients choose for the cruise leg.
Solo female: modest dress at religious sites is required, not optional; a lightweight scarf handles head-covering at the mosques in Khan el-Khalili. Tourist areas are safe and well-policed; vendor attention is heavier in bazaars where the guide presence helps. Solo male: vendor attention at the Pyramids is the main friction; the guide manages it. We brief each solo client individually before departure.
BudgetNile (cruise route)
A guided 8-day holiday combining three nights in Cairo with a four-night Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and arrange private transfers and an Egyptologist throughout; domestic flights are booked separately. Sightseeing follows a paced rhythm: Giza Plateau and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Luxor East and West Bank temples, sailing stops at Edfu and Kom Ombo, and Philae Temple, the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan. A visit to Abu Simbel can be arranged as an optional extra. We arrange hotel check-in nights in Cairo and full-board cruise accommodation, so you move between land and river sections without carrying luggage long distances.

This nine-day land tour links Cairo, Alexandria, Aswan and Luxor, with private Egyptologist guiding at the major attractions named in the itinerary. In Cairo, visits include the Giza Plateau, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo and Khan El-Khalili; Alexandria brings the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Qaitbay Citadel. In Aswan, the itinerary includes Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk and Aswan High Dam, followed by Luxor’s East and West Banks. A three-day private Cairo itinerary visiting the Giza Pyramids, the Egyptian Museum and Old Cairo with private transport and an English-speaking Egyptologist. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and we don't run group-bus tours; all site visits and transfers are private. Day one focuses on the Giza Plateau (Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure) with a sunrise or early-morning option to avoid crowds. Day two covers the Egyptian Museum and Tahrir area; day three visits Coptic and Islamic Cairo including the Citadel and Khan el-Khalili bazaar. We don't run group bus tours; shore visits are led by an Egyptologist rather than a coach guide. Unlike many three-night cruises, this five-day passage includes both Edfu and Kom Ombo with time to explore each temple properly. The Sphinx is a limestone monument near the Pyramid of Khafre. Your shared-boat booking is priced per person sharing a cabin, with the vessel assigned at booking. The four-night sailing embarks on 2 August 2027, timed for the total solar eclipse visible in Egypt. Lateen sails, quiet riverbanks and smaller landing points define the experience, while a chef-prepared full-board menu covers lunch on embarkation day through breakfast on disembarkation day. Drinks beyond water with meals are generally extra.
