02Overview
A first look
After sunset Cairo cools down and the lights come on along the river. This private evening begins with the view from the Cairo Tower. Then you drive beside the Nile and over Qasr El Nil Bridge, and finish with a set dinner at a local restaurant. Your vehicle and driver are for your party only. An English-speaking escort from our Cairo office comes along to look after you. This is not a guided history tour, so there is no Egyptologist on board. It is a relaxed way to see the city at night without finding your own way around.
Background
The facts
The Cairo Tower stands on Gezira Island in the Nile. The corniche runs along the river bank, and Qasr El Nil Bridge crosses to the east bank.

Children & families
Children are welcome and count towards your party size. The evening ends at about 22:00 to 22:30, so it suits children who can stay up late. Please tell us their ages when you book.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01Is there a guide with an Egyptology background?
No. You travel with an English-speaking escort from our Cairo office, who looks after you and points out places along the way. If you want detailed history, one of our day tours with a private guide will suit you better.02What is the dinner like?
It is a set meal at a local restaurant, chosen by us. Drinks are not covered, so you settle those at the table.03Where do you collect me, and when do I get back?
We collect you at 18:30 from your hotel in Cairo or Giza. You are back there between about 22:00 and 22:30.04How do I book, and what will it cost for my group?
You can book online at least 48 hours ahead. This is a private trip priced per person, because the vehicle and escort are shared out among your party. The more of you there are, the lower the price per person. The booking page shows the figure for your group size.05Do I need to pay for the Cairo Tower?
No. Your ticket for the observation deck is part of the fare. There may be a short wait to go up on a busy night.06What if I need to cancel?
Cancel at least three days before the evening and you get a full refund. Cancel between three days and one day before and you get half back. After that, or if you are not at your pick-up point, there is no refund.

CairoGrand Egyptian Museum Half-Day Tour
Spend a focused half-day at Cairo's Grand Egyptian Museum with one of our Egyptologists; museum entrance, audio headset and private transfers from central Giza hotels are included. The museum is built to display the Tutankhamun collection and thousands of archaeological objects. We do not attempt to include the Giza Plateau on this half-day because that compresses both experiences; guests who want both should pick a full-day option. Unlike standard coach tours, we use a private car so you spend time in the galleries rather than waiting at transfers. Expect thorough security screening, bag checks and 30–45 minutes of walking inside the galleries. Khufu pyramid interior visits are excluded. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator.

CairoPyramids, Sphinx & Egyptian Museum, Cairo Day Tour
See Khufu's Pyramid, the Great Sphinx of Giza and the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir on a single, curated day in Cairo. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and our Egyptologists guide each visit. We don't run group bus tours; unlike typical coach programmes, we keep visits unhurried and arrange private transfers between sites. Standard entry fees are included where applicable; pyramid-interior access (Khufu or Khafre) and premium museum requests are extra. Expect walking on uneven ancient stone and limited shade at midday–good physical mobility and sun protection are essential. We arrange museum-timed entries to avoid the busiest windows when possible.
