Best time to go
October to April is cooler for the pyramids. In summer, the morning visit to Giza is better for the heat, and the museum offers cool air-conditioned shelter in the afternoon.

02Overview
A first look
This is a private day in Cairo, reached by air from Hurghada. A driver takes you to the airport at 04:00, you fly to Cairo in about an hour, and your guide meets you on arrival. The day covers the Giza pyramids, the Great Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum, with lunch near Giza. The evening flight brings you back to Hurghada and a driver takes you to your hotel. Flights, transfers, tickets and lunch are included. It suits travellers who want Cairo's headline sights without a night on a coach.
Background
The facts

What to pack & wear
Children & families
The price for children is shown when you add their ages to the request. From the age of 2, every child must have their own seat on the flight. The day is long, with a 04:00 start, so it suits children who cope well with early mornings and plenty of walking.
These fares are a guide, as prices and departure move through the year. Do ask us and we will confirm the fare for the days you have in mind.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01How is the price worked out for the flight option?
The price is per person and falls as your party gets larger, because the vehicle and guide are shared between more people. It includes the return domestic flights. Prices are provisional until we confirm your request. We are an Egyptian operator (ETAA Licence 718), not an ATOL or ABTA member, and we do not sell international flights.02Where and when do I get collected?
A private vehicle collects you from your hotel at 04:00 and takes you to Hurghada Airport. We ask for your hotel name and room number in the request so the driver knows where to come. Late arrivals risk missing the flight, so please be ready in the lobby.03How are children charged on this private trip?
Prices for children appear once you enter their ages in the request. Flights need a seat from age 2, so children aged 2 and over are counted for the flights. Please add everyone's ages so that we can give you an accurate figure for the whole party.04What should I bring, and what should I wear?
Bring your passport, because it is needed for the flight, plus a sun hat, sun cream and cash for the optional tickets. Wear comfortable shoes, light clothing and a layer for the cool early morning and for air-conditioned spaces. Cover shoulders and knees if you can.05What if I need to cancel?
Give us more than 72 hours' notice and you can keep 100% as credit towards a future holiday or have 100% refunded, less bank charges. Between 72 and 24 hours beforehand, keep 100% as credit or have 50% back. Within 24 hours, or if you don't turn up, nothing can be refunded or credited. Should we have to cancel, you won't lose a penny.06Is the day private or shared with other guests?
It is private. Only your party travels with your guide and driver, up to 15 people. You can set the pace, spend longer where you want and skip what does not interest you. The flights are on scheduled airline services, so you will share the aircraft with other passengers.
