02Overview
A first look
This is a five-hour shared evening in the desert behind Marsa Alam. After a safety briefing and a practice ride, you follow a guide on your quad for about an hour and a half, timed to reach a viewpoint as the sun goes down. Then you ride on to a Bedouin camp for dinner and tea. You can ride your own bike or share one. The vehicle brings you back to your hotel at about 19:30. It suits active travellers who like to end the day in the dark with a good meal.
Background
The facts
The Eastern Desert behind Marsa Alam is open and quiet, with wide views to the west that suit a sunset ride. The Bedouin camp lies a short ride beyond the viewpoint.
