02Overview
A first look
This is an eight-hour boat trip from Sharm El Sheikh to the Straits of Tiran, the narrow channel between Sinai and Tiran Island. A vehicle collects you at about 08:00 and takes you to the jetty. The boat sails north-east for around an hour, and you then make two or three snorkelling stops with a guide over the reefs, including one in a shallow lagoon. Lunch is served on board. Landing on the island is not permitted, so everything is done from the boat. The boat is shared with up to 40 guests, and it suits families and confident beginners alike.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01What does the price of the Tiran Island trip include?
The price is per person and includes the boat, guide, equipment, lunch, drinks, marine park fees and hotel transfers. Towels, underwater photos and water sports on the boat cost extra. Prices are provisional until our team confirms your booking, and we confirm availability first.02What time is pick-up from my hotel?
Collection is at about 08:00 from hotels in Naama Bay, Sharks Bay, Nabq, Hadaba and the Old Market area. Our team confirms your exact time after booking. The boat is back at the jetty at about 16:00, and the transfer to your hotel follows.03Can children join the Tiran Island boat day?
Yes. Under 2s travel free, ages 2 to 11 pay half the adult price, and ages 12 and over pay the adult price. Children should be happy in the water, and the shallow lagoon suits them well. The crew may ask them to wear a life jacket.04Can we land on Tiran Island?
No. Landing on the island is not permitted, so all swimming and snorkelling takes place from the boat. The coral gardens and the shallow lagoon are the main attractions. Bring your passport or a copy for the jetty, plus swimwear, a towel and sun cream.05What if the sea is too rough to sail?
Cancel three or more days before for a full refund, or between three days and 24 hours before for half. Inside 24 hours, or if you do not turn up, nothing is refunded. If the port authority stops sailings because of weather, your trip is moved to another day or refunded.06Is the boat shared, and who runs it?
Yes, up to 40 guests share the boat. We are an Egyptian operator (ETAA Licence 718), not an ATOL or ABTA member, and we do not sell international flights. Our Sharm El Sheikh team runs the trip. Booking is by request, and we confirm availability before payment.
