02Overview
A first look
This is a five-hour evening safari in the Sinai desert outside Sharm El Sheikh. We collect you from your hotel at about 15:00 (an hour later in summer) and drive to the safari base. After a briefing and a practice lap, you ride a quad bike in convoy for about an hour. Then comes a stop at a Bedouin camp for tea and a short camel ride at sunset, a barbecue dinner with a show, and a session at the telescope. The group is shared, with up to 30 guests. It suits active couples and families with children aged 6 and over.
Background
The facts
The safari runs in the Sinai desert a short drive from Sharm El Sheikh's hotel areas. The whole evening takes about 5 hours door to door, with roughly one hour of quad riding.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01How does the price for this desert safari work?
The price is per person and covers everything on the inclusions list, so there is little to pay at the base apart from extras such as a dust scarf. Two people can share one quad bike if you ask when you send your request. Prices are provisional until our team confirms your booking.02What time will I be collected from my hotel?
Collection is at about 15:00 for most of the year and an hour later in summer. We cover hotels in Naama Bay, Sharks Bay, Nabq, Hadaba and the Old Market area. Your exact time is confirmed once we accept the booking. The transfer back leaves the camp at about 20:00.03Can my children join the quad bike safari?
Riders must be at least 6 years old. Under 2s travel free, ages 2 to 11 pay half the adult price, and ages 12 and over pay the adult price. Two people can share one bike on request. Every rider wears a helmet, and the guide sets the pace for the whole convoy.04What should I wear and bring for the evening?
Wear closed shoes and long trousers, and bring sunglasses and a scarf for the dust. A warm layer is wise for after dark, because the desert gets cold quickly once the sun is down. Dust scarves and goggles are on sale at the base if you forget them.05What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancel three or more days before the safari for a full refund. Between three days and 24 hours before, half is refunded. Inside 24 hours, or if you do not turn up, nothing is refunded. Tell us as early as you can and we will do what we can to help.06Is the safari shared, and who runs it?
Yes, it is a shared evening with up to 30 guests, run by our Sharm El Sheikh team. We are an Egyptian operator (ETAA Licence 718), not an ATOL or ABTA member, and we do not sell international flights. Booking is by request, and we confirm availability before you pay.
