Concerto Plus Nile Cruise
A deluxe five-star Nile cruiser with Standard, Deluxe and Suite cabins, full-board dining and shore excursions at temples along the river.
The short answer
Concerto Plus is a 5-Star Deluxe Nile cruise ship. Board in Aswan on a Friday for 3 nights to Luxor or a 7-night round trip, or in Luxor on a Monday for 4 nights to Aswan or a 7-night round trip. Fares start from £783 per person, two sharing a double cabin, with full board, guided sightseeing and transfers included.
02Overview
A first look
By late afternoon, the Nile turns copper beneath the sun deck, with palms, feluccas and riverbank villages sliding past at an unhurried pace. The vessel gives you a quiet base between shore excursions, from the carved columns of Karnak Temple to the painted tombs of the Valley of the Kings. Sailing days leave time for the lounge bar, dining room and the changing view through your cabin window, while excursions bring the ancient sites into sharper focus.
As a licensed Egyptian tour operator, we arrange your embarkation, selected cabin, full-board service and Egyptologists before travel, with Standard, Deluxe and Suite cabins subject to availability.

Suited to
Is this for you?
Yes, if
- This cruise suits first-time visitors to Egypt, couples and families who want to combine hotel-style accommodation with guided visits to Upper Egypt’s principal ancient sites. It is also suitable for travellers who prefer a structured river journey over changing hotels by road, although excursions involve walking on uneven archaeological surfaces and in strong sun.
Maybe not, if
- Choose a land-based holiday if you need step-free access throughout or prefer to set your own sightseeing pace. Summer travellers who struggle with extreme heat may find the open-air sites demanding.
Honest assessment
The honest pluses and minuses, as our own team sees them after running this trip.

- Standard, Deluxe and Suite cabins offer a choice of class
Things to Consider
- Ancient sites have uneven ground, steps and limited stroller access
- June to August brings intense heat at exposed archaeological sites
- Drinks (including water), gratuities and single supplements cost extra
Where it fits
Use the Concerto Plus Nile Cruise as the Upper Egypt section of a longer holiday, with time in Cairo before or after your sailing. Choose Luxor or Aswan for embarkation and plan onward travel from the other city.
Worth knowing
How this compares
Unlike a land-based sightseeing programme, this Nile cruise combines cabin accommodation, sailing between Upper Egypt destinations and a structured shore-excursion programme. Unlike a point-to-point private transfer itinerary, it provides full board from lunch on embarkation through breakfast on disembarkation, although drinks (including water), gratuities and personal expenses are not included.

Accessibility
Who can join this
Boarding your Nile cruiser involves a gangway that may be steep, narrow or uneven, depending on the river level. Stairs may connect cabin decks with the dining room, lounge bar and sun deck; whether a lift is available depends on the vessel assigned and should be checked before booking. Shore excursions at Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Philae and the Valley of the Kings include uneven ancient stone, sand, steps and steep ramps, with limited shade. Wheelchair users and guests with limited mobility may need assistance, and an adapted excursion plan should be discussed with us in advance.
– Responsible travel
How we travel here
The cruise uses a river vessel owned and operated by its appointed cruise line. Shore transport is arranged through local Egyptian suppliers, usually using air-conditioned coaches or private cars suited to group size and port access. Staying on one vessel reduces the need to change hotels between Luxor and Aswan, although fuel use and onboard waste remain part of the operation. We work with local Egyptologists, drivers, port teams and site guides in Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan, directing tourism spending to Egyptian workers and businesses. Vessel waste and energy practices vary by assigned ship and are not guaranteed.
