The vessel remains moored in Aswan. Those heading to Abu Simbel set off before dawn, travelling by road or air to the pair of rock-cut temples that Ramesses II had carved into the cliff, and return on board at around midday. Spend the afternoon at leisure on board.

Following breakfast, leave the ship in Aswan. Spend the morning exploring the city: see the High Dam, reach the Temple of Isis at Philae by motor launch, and visit the granite Unfinished Obelisk, before continuing with your onward transfer.

Embarkation and disembarkation use a gangway with steps and can be unstable when the vessel is alongside the quay; passengers step up from the quay into the gangway. Many cabins have single-door thresholds and one or two low steps; some lower-deck cabins have easier access. Public areas include stairs to the sun deck and to some dining sections, and there is no guarantee of a lift between all decks. Shore excursions include walking on uneven ancient stone, loose sand and temple steps, some with steep staircases and limited handrails. Food provisioning prioritises Egyptian suppliers for bread, dairy and seasonal produce, supporting markets in Luxor, Aswan and surrounding towns. Shore excursions use licensed local Egyptologists and local boat crews for short transfers, so a portion of passenger spend goes directly to local guides and communities. Solid waste is sorted on board where space permits and transferred to port reception facilities in Luxor and Aswan; blackwater and greywater are managed according to local port regulations.
