Accessibility
Who can join this
The vessel and shore excursions require moderate mobility: guests should manage short walks on uneven stone, stepped temple entrances, and gangway boarding from the quay. Cabins are reached by one to two internal stair flights on many Nile cruisers; some ships have a lift but this cannot be guaranteed. Shore excursions include cobblestones, low temple doorways and unshaded outdoor areas, and may involve stepping into small motorboats for island landings. Wheelchair users should contact us before booking so we can confirm the assigned ship's accessibility features and arrange suitable assistance. As a licensed Egyptian tour operator, we coordinate meet-and-assist at embarkation and will note mobility needs, but complete wheelchair independence on every pier and at every site cannot be promised due to historic site infrastructure.

Children & families
Children 0 to 5.99 years travel free when sharing a cabin with two paying adults. Children 6 to 11.99 years pay 50% of the adult fare, and those aged 12 and over pay the full adult price. Children must share the parents' cabin; a maximum of one child per cabin is permitted. Two or more children require a separate cabin. Strollers are practical on the vessel deck but can be cumbersome at temple entrances and on uneven quays; high chairs are available on request but vary by ship, so please tell us at booking.

How we travel here
The cruise uses diesel-powered river vessels; on-board energy is primarily from the ship's generators while sailing and alongside the quay. We select partners who maintain vessels to international safety and emissions norms and who operate modern, air-conditioned coaches for any land transfers requested. Local procurement is standard: most produce, breads and fresh fish for the dining room are sourced from Nile-side markets and Aswan and Luxor suppliers. Excursion guides are hired locally, and entrance fees contribute to site conservation through the existing Egyptian site management structures. We do not operate the vessels: we arrange carefully selected cruisers and monitor supplier practices. Guests can reduce footprint by declining daily towel changes and using refillable water bottles; recycling provision varies by ship.

Jaz Elite Senator Nile Cruise
The cruise sails between Luxor and Aswan, calling at Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae. The Jaz Elite Senator is an all-suite Nile vessel offering full-board dining and guided excursions. An English-speaking Egyptologist leads small-group visits, limited to a maximum of eight guests per guide. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and arrange meet-and-assist services, private deluxe air-conditioned transfers and the on-the-ground excursions listed. Unlike larger mass-market Nile ships, the Jaz Elite Senator provides all-suite accommodation and typically operates with smaller guided groups, which reduces time waiting at sites. Practical departures run from Luxor or Aswan, with a variety of itinerary lengths available.
