Wheelchair access is not reliably step-free on standard Nile vessels, and moving between the ship and shore may require assistance. Nile cruisers typically use marine diesel engines, and the vessel sails on weekly schedules between Luxor and Aswan in both directions. Shore transfers and excursions use air-conditioned coaches or vans arranged through local suppliers; vehicle specifications vary, so we cannot promise a particular emissions standard. Cruise partners may source fresh produce, bread and other supplies from markets and bakeries in Luxor and Aswan. Crew and excursion staff are locally employed, and gratuities paid to them go to Egyptian staff. Waste facilities differ between vessels. We ask partners to separate recyclable waste where facilities allow and to avoid burning mixed waste, but this cannot be guaranteed on every sailing.
