Who can join this
This Nile cruise requires moderate mobility for embarkation, disembarkation, and shore excursions. Guests should expect gangways with steps when boarding and leaving the vessel, narrow cabin doorways in some older vessels, and cabins reached by one or more internal staircases on many boats. Temple sites and the Valley of the Kings feature uneven stone surfaces, steep temple steps, compact tomb passages, and loose sand in places. Wheelchair users can be accommodated on specific vessels with advance notice, but not all vessels have accessible cabins or lifts, and transfer ramps at smaller landing stages may be improvised. If you use a mobility scooter, electric wheelchair, or require a standard wheelchair, please tell us at booking so we can confirm a suitable vessel, arrange assistance at ports, and note any extra handling that may be required. We arrange local assistance at airports and piers when requested, and our Egyptologists and crew will brief guests on alternative routing to avoid difficult terrain when possible.

Children 0–5.99 years travel free; children 6–11.99 years pay 50% of the adult price; children 12 years and older pay the full adult price. Children must share a cabin with their parents, maximum one child per cabin; two or more children require their own cabin. Strollers are practical on board but may be inconvenient ashore at sites with steps and uneven ground. High chairs are sometimes available on larger vessels, please request them at booking so we can confirm availability.

How we travel here
We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and we select vessels and suppliers with local relationships in mind. Transfers between airports and piers use air-conditioned coaches or cars provided by Egyptian drivers contracted locally. On board, vessels follow standard river-cruise operations; when available, we prefer cruisers with modern engines and waste-management systems to reduce fuel use and downstream pollution. Food and provisions for the cruise are supplied by local markets and producers whenever practicable, which supports farmers and vendors in Luxor and Aswan. Shore excursions include visits to community-run crafts centres and cooperatives where guests can buy directly from artisans, and many of the Egyptologists we work with live in the region. We ask guests to minimize single-use plastics, follow crew instructions on waste separation, and respect restricted archaeological zones to reduce impact on fragile sites.
