Who can join this
The vessel has multiple cabin grades across two passenger decks and public areas reached by stairs; there is no passenger lift between decks on most Nile cruisers. Embarkation and disembarkation use fixed gangways or piers that may be 20 to 50 centimetres above river level depending on the quay; guests with reduced mobility should expect a step or two when boarding. Onboard flooring includes carpet and polished wood, and some cabin bathrooms have a low threshold rather than a roll-in shower. Shore excursions at sites such as the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and Kom Ombo involve uneven ancient stone, steep temple steps and short unpaved approaches. Wheelchair users can usually be assisted on board for sailing days, but independent wheelchair access to many archaeological sites is limited; we recommend contacting us before booking so we can review vessel assignment and arrange additional assistance where possible.

Children 0–5.99 years travel free, children 6–11.99 years pay 50% of the adult price, and children 12 years and older pay the full adult price. Children must share a cabin with their parents, maximum one child per cabin; two or more children require their own cabin. Strollers are practical onboard while sailing but may be difficult to use at some quays and archaeological sites because of steps and uneven surfaces. Request a cot at booking; cots and high chairs are subject to availability with the vessel operator.

How we travel here
We charter or book modern Nile cruisers that typically use low-sulfur diesel engines and air-conditioned cabins; smaller river vessels often have lower fuel consumption than ocean ships. Shore excursions are run with locally licensed Egyptologists and small coach partners, usually 16- to 30-seat minibuses that match group size to reduce empty seats. We contract local suppliers for catering, laundry and guides, which directs revenue to riverside communities in Luxor and Aswan. Crew and shore teams are paid according to local labor norms and gratuities go to individual staff unless pooled by the crew. We encourage guests to bring reusable water bottles for refills from the vessel's on-board filtration point and to avoid single-use plastics; waste is separated on board where the vessel operator provides segregation facilities.
