02Overview
A first look
This is a four-hour guided tour of Hurghada town, not the resorts. A minibus collects you from your hotel at 09:00 or 15:00 and visits Al Mina Mosque, the fish market and fishing harbour, St Shenouda Coptic Church, the old quarter of El Dahar with its souk, and the marina promenade. An English-speaking local guide leads, and water is included. Meals, drinks and shopping are paid for separately. It is shared with up to 16 guests, and it suits anyone who wants to see everyday Egyptian life as well as the beach.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01How is the price worked out for the town tour?
The price is per person on a shared minibus and covers the transfer, the guide and water. Food, drinks and shopping are extras. Prices are provisional until our team confirms your request. We are an Egyptian operator (ETAA Licence 718), not an ATOL or ABTA member, and we do not sell international flights.02What time is collection?
You choose between 09:00 and 15:00. A minibus collects you from hotels in Hurghada, El Gouna, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh and Soma Bay. Our team confirms the exact time when your request is accepted. The tour takes about four hours, and you return to your hotel afterwards.03Is the tour suitable for children?
Children under 2 travel free, ages 2 to 11 pay half the adult price, and anyone aged 12 or over pays the adult price. There is some walking in the souk and market, and the fish market can be smelly, so younger children may find it a lot.04What should I wear for the mosque and church?
Cover your shoulders and knees, and women should bring a scarf to cover the hair at the mosque. Wear comfortable shoes that are easy to slip off. Bring small notes for the market, a hat and sun cream. Carry little, since the souk can be busy.05What is the cancellation rule?
Give us more than 72 hours' notice and you can keep 100% as credit towards a future holiday or have 100% refunded, less bank charges. Between 72 and 24 hours beforehand, keep 100% as credit or have 50% back. Within 24 hours, or if you don't turn up, nothing can be refunded or credited. Should we have to cancel, you won't lose a penny.06Is the minibus shared with other guests?
Other guests share the minibus, up to 16 in all, and the guide leads the group on foot at each stop. If you want a tour for your own party only, mention it in your request and our team will tell you what is possible.
