Best time to go
October to April is far more comfortable. In summer, the early start on day two matters, because the West Bank sites are very hot by late morning.

02Overview
A first look
This is a two-day, one-night excursion from Hurghada to Luxor, shared with up to 16 guests. Day one starts at 05:00 with a drive of about four hours, then Karnak with an Egyptologist guide, lunch, hotel check-in and Luxor Temple in the late afternoon. Day two starts early with breakfast and the Valley of the Kings, then the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, before lunch and the drive back. Transport, hotel, four meals and the entrance tickets are included. It suits travellers who want Luxor without rushing.
Background
The facts
Luxor is about four hours by road from Hurghada across the Eastern Desert. The two-day plan keeps the East Bank temples for day one and the West Bank sites for the cool early morning of day two.

Field notes

Eat something before the 05:00 pick-up if you can, because breakfast on day one comes late
- 02
Keep a few small notes for tips, because there is little change in the temples

What to pack & wear
Children & families
Children under 2 travel free, ages 2 to 11 pay half the adult price, and ages 12 and over pay the adult price. Both days are long, with early starts and a lot of walking on uneven stone, so this suits older children best.
These fares are a guide, as prices and departure move through the year. Do ask us and we will confirm the fare for the days you have in mind.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01How does the price work for the two-day trip?
The price is per person sharing a twin or double room, and covers transport, the hotel night, the meals listed and tickets. A single room costs extra, as do drinks and optional tombs. Prices are provisional until we confirm your request. We are an Egyptian operator (ETAA Licence 718), not an ATOL or ABTA member, and we do not sell international flights.02When is collection on the first day?
We collect you from your hotel at 05:00 on day one, from Hurghada, El Gouna, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh and Soma Bay. Be in the lobby a few minutes early. Return on day two takes you back to the same hotel in the evening.03Can children join, and how are they priced?
Yes. Children under 2 travel free, ages 2 to 11 pay half the adult price, and ages 12 and over pay the adult price. The days are long and involve a lot of walking, so please consider whether younger children will enjoy it.04What should I pack for one night away?
Bring your passport for check-in, a small overnight bag, a sun hat, sun cream, comfortable closed shoes and cash for drinks and optional tombs. The bag stays in the vehicle during sightseeing, so keep valuables on you. Pack a light layer for the early starts.05What is the cancellation policy?
Give us more than 72 hours' notice and you can keep 100% as credit towards a future holiday or have 100% refunded, less bank charges. Between 72 and 24 hours beforehand, keep 100% as credit or have 50% back. Within 24 hours, or if you don't turn up, nothing can be refunded or credited. Should we have to cancel, you won't lose a penny.06Is the vehicle shared, and who stays where?
It is shared with other guests, up to 16 in all, and you stay in a 4-star Luxor hotel in a twin or double room. Couples share a double or twin room. Solo travellers can ask us about the single-room supplement when sending a request.

HurghadaOrange Bay Snorkeling & Beach Escape – Giftun Island, Hurghada
Snorkel at Orange Bay on Giftun Island, 30–40 minutes by speedboat from Hurghada Marina. We operate morning, small-group speedboat departures to avoid the busiest visitor hours. Guided snorkelling focuses on shallow fringing reefs; the schedule includes guided time in the water and relaxed beach time on the sand. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and run both shared and private departures. Unlike large resort launches, we keep boat groups small to reduce crowding at popular reef sites. Honest trade-offs: shade on the beach is limited, seas can be choppy and summer departures mean an earlier start to beat the heat.

Hire a boat and crew for your own party and set the pace of the day. The skipper takes you to two or three reefs off Hurghada for snorkelling, with a swim off an island beach if the sea allows, and lunch is cooked on board. Up to 15 people can come, nobody else is on the boat, and a snorkelling guide looks after the water time. Transfers and marine park fees are included.
