02Overview
A first look
This is a five-hour desert evening from Hurghada. A minibus collects you at 14:00 (an hour later in summer) and takes you to the safari base, where you get a helmet, a driving briefing and a practice lap. You then ride in convoy for about an hour in two legs, stop at a Bedouin camp for tea, fire-baked bread and a short camel ride, and watch the sunset. A barbecue dinner and folklore show follow, and you are back at your hotel around 19:00. It suits active travellers aged 6 and over.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01How is the price worked out for the quad evening?
The price is per person and covers one quad each, the camel ride, dinner, the show and transfers. Scarf, goggles and photos cost extra. Prices are provisional until our team confirms your request. We are an Egyptian operator (ETAA Licence 718), not an ATOL or ABTA member, and we do not sell international flights.02What time do you collect us?
Collection is at 14:00, or an hour later in summer, from hotels in Hurghada, El Gouna, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh and Soma Bay. We confirm your exact time when your request is accepted. The evening ends with a transfer back to your hotel at about 19:00.03What is the minimum age, and what do children pay?
Riders must be 6 or over. Children aged 6 to 11 pay half the adult price, and ages 12 and over pay the adult price. Children under 6 cannot take part. Younger riders can share a quad with an adult on request, and every rider wears a helmet.04What should I wear and bring?
Wear closed shoes and long trousers, and bring sunglasses, a scarf for dust and, in winter, a light jacket for after dark. Goggles and a scarf can be bought at the base. Clothes will get dusty, so choose something you do not mind washing.05What if I need to cancel?
Give us more than 72 hours' notice and you can keep 100% as credit towards a future holiday or have 100% refunded, less bank charges. Between 72 and 24 hours beforehand, keep 100% as credit or have 50% back. Within 24 hours, or if you don't turn up, nothing can be refunded or credited. Should we have to cancel, you won't lose a penny.06Is the safari shared, and how many people ride?
It is shared with other guests, up to 30 in all, and everyone rides in convoy behind a guide. The guide sets the pace for the whole group. If you want more space between riders, ask us when you send your request.
