Best time to go
Sunrise or the late afternoon is best, as the desert is cooler and the light is soft. Winter is comfortable all day, but summer middays are too hot.

02Overview
A first look
This is a three-hour outing from Hurghada that centres on a one-hour guided ride, on a horse or a camel, through the desert and down to the shoreline. A minibus collects you in the morning or afternoon, whichever is cooler, and takes you to a stable outside town. You are given a helmet and a short briefing, then ride out with the stable guide, who sets the pace. Tea and water follow at the stable, and you are driven back to your hotel. It suits families with children aged 6 or over and complete beginners.
Background
The facts
The stable lies on the edge of the Eastern Desert outside Hurghada, about 30 minutes from the main hotel areas. The ride runs from the desert down to the shoreline and the whole outing takes about three hours.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01How is the price worked out for the riding excursion?
The price is per person and covers the transfer, a one-hour ride, helmet, tea and water. Longer rides and photos cost extra. Prices are provisional until our team confirms your request. We are an Egyptian operator (ETAA Licence 718), not an ATOL or ABTA member, and we do not sell international flights.02What time is the pick-up?
You choose between a morning and an afternoon departure, both timed for the cooler part of the day. A minibus collects you from hotels in Hurghada, El Gouna, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh and Soma Bay. Our team confirms the exact time once your request is accepted.03What is the minimum age, and what do children pay?
Riders must be 6 or over. Children aged 6 to 11 pay half the adult price, and anyone aged 12 or over pays the adult price. Children under 6 cannot ride. A helmet is provided for everyone, and the stable guide checks each child before setting off.04Do I need riding experience, and what do I wear?
No experience is needed, because the stable matches the animal to the rider and the guide sets the pace. Wear long trousers and closed shoes, and bring sunglasses, sun cream and a scarf for dust. Shorts rub on a saddle and sandals can slip from the stirrup.05What is the cancellation rule?
Give us more than 72 hours' notice and you can keep 100% as credit towards a future holiday or have 100% refunded, less bank charges. Between 72 and 24 hours beforehand, keep 100% as credit or have 50% back. Within 24 hours, or if you don't turn up, nothing can be refunded or credited. Should we have to cancel, you won't lose a penny.06Is the ride shared with other guests?
Yes. The group is shared with other riders, up to 12 in total, and you ride in a line behind the stable guide. If you want a ride for your own party, mention it in your request and our team will tell you what is possible.

HurghadaOrange Bay Snorkeling & Beach Escape – Giftun Island, Hurghada
Snorkel at Orange Bay on Giftun Island, 30–40 minutes by speedboat from Hurghada Marina. We operate morning, small-group speedboat departures to avoid the busiest visitor hours. Guided snorkelling focuses on shallow fringing reefs; the schedule includes guided time in the water and relaxed beach time on the sand. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and run both shared and private departures. Unlike large resort launches, we keep boat groups small to reduce crowding at popular reef sites. Honest trade-offs: shade on the beach is limited, seas can be choppy and summer departures mean an earlier start to beat the heat.
